What We Believe

What We Believe

“But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

We are Christians of the Evangelical faith. We believe in God through our Lord Jesus Christ – His only Son, our Saviour and Redeemer. We believe that He died and rose again, ascended on high, sent His Holy Spirit to us, and is seated on high and will one day come back to judge the world.

Amen.

Our Beliefs

Salvation

We believe that salvation is attained through the Lord Jesus Christ alone.

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NLT) And “There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.”” Acts 4:12 NLT

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

““I baptise with water those who repent of their sins and turn to God. But someone is coming soon who is greater than I am—so much greater that I’m not worthy even to be his slave and carry his sandals. He will baptise you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.” Matthew 3:11 NLT

The Bible

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God for life and godliness.

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realise what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT

Prayer

We believe prayer is the means by which we communicate with God in worship and times of need.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

Community

We believe in the coming together of believers to worship and break bread as often as possible.

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer.” Acts 2:42 NLT
